La convention a été signée par le Directeur Général de CAMTEL, Mme Judith YAH Sunday épse Achidi, et le Ministre du Tourisme et des Loisirs, Gabriel Mbairobe, marquant ainsi le lancement d’une nouvelle ère de coopération au service du développement du tourisme camerounais.
À travers cet accord, le MINTOUL s’engage à faciliter l’accès aux sites touristiques et à collaborer avec CAMTEL pour en accroître la visibilité, notamment sur les plateformes numériques. De son côté, CAMTEL mettra son expertise et ses infrastructures au service de la promotion du tourisme camerounais. L’entreprise assurera la visibilité du Ministère sur ses plateformes digitales et l’accompagnera dans l’organisation et la participation aux foires et salons, tout en garantissant la fluidité de son réseau internet.
Dans son discours, le Directeur Général de CAMTEL a rappelé que la digitalisation constitue aujourd’hui un levier incontournable pour améliorer l’attractivité de la destination Cameroun. Elle a souligné que cette convention est le fruit d’un travail collaboratif entre les équipes techniques, juridiques et commerciales des deux institutions, et qu’elle ouvre la voie à la modernisation institutionnelle ainsi qu’à l’amélioration de la qualité du service public dans le secteur du tourisme.
The agreement was personally endorsed by CAMTEL’s General Manager, Mrs Judith Yah Sunday épse Achidi, and the Minister of Tourism and Leisure, Gabriel Mbairobe, marking the beginning of a bold cooperation dedicated to enhancing Cameroon’s tourism sector.
Under this agreement, MINTOUL will facilitate access to tourist sites and collaborate with CAMTEL to enhance their visibility, particularly through digital platforms. In return, CAMTEL commits to promoting Cameroon’s tourism industry via its national Internet network, showcasing the ministry’s initiatives online, supporting its participation in fairs and exhibitions, and ensuring reliable, high-quality connectivity.
In her address, CAMTEL’s General Manager emphasized that digital transformation is now essential to strengthening the appeal of Cameroon as a tourist destination. She highlighted that this agreement is the outcome of a collaborative process involving the technical, legal, and commercial teams of both institutions. It represents a milestone toward institutional modernization and improved public service delivery in the tourism sector.

CAMTEL mettra à disposition du MINTOUL son réseau national de fibre optique, permettant de connecter plus de 900 sites touristiques et administratifs, ainsi qu’un centre de données sécurisé destiné à l’hébergement et à la gestion des informations stratégiques. Ces solutions technologiques visent à bâtir un écosystème touristique moderne, compétitif et résolument tourné vers l’avenir.
La cérémonie s’est conclue dans une atmosphère conviviale par une remise de cadeaux symboliques par le N°1 de CAMTEL aux responsables du Ministère, témoignage de l’esprit de collaboration et de confiance mutuelle qui caractérise ce partenariat.

As part of the partnership, CAMTEL will provide fiber-optic connectivity to more than 900 sites under the ministry, while also making available a secure data center for the storage and management of strategic information. These technological solutions are designed to build a modern, competitive, and forward-looking tourism ecosystem for Cameroon.
The ceremony ended on a warm note with an exchange of symbolic gifts between CAMTEL’s General Manager and MINTOUL officials, underscoring the spirit of cooperation and mutual trust that lies at the heart of this strategic partnership.
