Our country Cameroon and our telecommunications sector are facing a crucial period in 2025. CAMTEL, with 25 years of experience and innovation, is at the heart of digital transformation, not only as a legacy operator, but also as a catalyst for economic and social development.
This year is marked by major challenges, particularly for our nation. More than ever before, the reliability and security of our telecommunications infrastructure will be essential to ensure transparency and smooth communication in this sensitive context. CAMTEL is proud to be the guarantor of this infrastructure, thus playing a key role in maintaining the stability and progress of our country.
Our vision, updated for 2050, is that of a resilient, innovative CAMTEL deeply committed to sustainable development. We aspire to be much more than a telecommunications service provider. We aim to be a strategic partner for our customers, a reliable ally for our partners, and a civic-minded actor committed to the well-being of Cameroonians.
2024 marked the celebration of our 25th anniversary, a key event that allowed us to strengthen our commitment and lay the foundations for a new era. Now, in 2025, we must work together to meet the challenges of our time and seize the opportunities that come up.

At CAMTEL, our goal is to provide reliable and accessible electronic communications infrastructure and services to citizens, business enterprises, and public administrations, ensuring the sovereignty of the national backbone network.
Specifically, we are mandated to:
National Transport & Access Network
Deploy, operate, and maintain a nationwide transport and access infrastructure (optical fibre, leased lines, VSAT) to ensure resilient connectivity for operators, businesses, and communities.
Telecom & Broadband Services
Market landline and mobile services (branded), FTTH/broadband offers, and professional solutions such as leased lines, hosting, and cloud services.
Digital Access & Inclusion
Promote digital inclusion by implementing programmes and partnerships that foster broadband penetration in both rural and urban areas.
Digital Sovereignty & Security
Contribute to Cameroon’s digital sovereignty and infrastructure security by operating the national backbone network and collaborating with authorities to safeguard critical assets.
